According to Article 6 of the Regulation (EC) No 396/2005, the United Kingdom submitted an application on the modification of the MRLs for dimethoate in Brussels sprouts, cauliflower and lettuce. The modification is requested for the MRLs which, according to Regulation (EC) No 1097/2009, will enter into force on 7 June 2010. A new MRL of 0.2 mg/kg for dimethoate is proposed in broccoli. The United Kingdom as the Evaluating Member State (EMS) drafted an Evaluation Report according to Article 9 of Regulation (EC) No 396/2005 which was submitted to the European Commission and forwarded to EFSA on 31 July 2009. The United Kingdom proposes the MRL of 0.2 mg/kg for dimethoate in lettuce, cauliflower and Brussels sprouts.
